ECG services the locomotive, shipping, mechanical press, oil and gas and compression markets.
ECG is currently hiring for the Machinist III (Finish Lathe) position.
Employees in this position operate large, CNC-controlled crankshaft milling machines.
The Machinist III position is a non-exempt, full time opportunity that typically works a 4-on 4-off schedule working 12 hour shifts.
Machinist III may work day, night, or rotating shifts as dictated by business needs.
Primary responsibility is to operate a large, manual finish lathe machine: Loading work piece into machine, layout and setting work offsets Monitoring the machining process, identifying and correcting issues Unloading and deburring of semi-finished part Indexing carbide inserts, rebuilding and basic repairs of tooling system
Basic machine maintenance (simple repairs, filling oil tanks, cleaning out chips and debris)
