Join our team of health care professionals committed to improving the quality of health care delivery against the stunning backdrop of the Rocky Mountains' snowcapped peaks and sweeping vistas of the Great Plains in the Billings, Montana area The primary purpose of this position is to function as a Staff Dentist performing a range of professional dental duties commonly encountered with dental diseases or health requiring standard corrective, preventative, restorative or rehabilitative care.

Duties

This position is located within a hospital or healthcare facility for the Billings Area Indian Health Service. The incumbent reports to the Supervisory Dental Officer or designee.

• Make clinical and radiographic examinations of the oral and soft tissues and a diagnosis of pathological or irregular conditions.
• Administer local anesthesia, and/or nitrous oxide analgesia.
• Perform routine and moderately complicated tooth extractions, including surgical procedures.
• Perform examinations, make diagnoses and prescribe treatment plans for patients.
• Recognize and refer patients for specialty treatment as required.
• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformation of teeth and gums.
• Plan and carry-out dental health programs for oral disease prevention and patient education.
