The banquet bartender will set up the banquet room bar bar area and serve beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner according to Crescent high standards of quality.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Set up banquet room bar as instructed by Supervisor to include garnishes, mixers ware and glassware. Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest and hotel expectations. Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner. Serve the beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet. Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages. Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction. Once banquet is complete, reset banquet room bar according to Supervisor’s specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for the following function. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation Ability to stand and work continuously. Must be willing to pitch-in and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 30 lbs. on a continuous basis.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English and Spanish. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, proper preparation and presentation of foods and beverage items. Ability to prepare signage for catering functions. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 50 lbs. on an occasional basis. Ability to create special themes and menus. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
