The Talent Mine is recruiting for 3 Sr. level Hardware Test engineers with a strong background in automation and environmental testing for immediate contract to hire roles.   This is with a very well known / reputed player in the aerospace industry, and they are hiring due to a push to deliver on a new R&D project

If you are the kind of hardware test engineer that has Electrical Engineering sensibilities (and/or degree), LOVES pushing hardware to the extreme from a QA standpoint, and can make LabVIEW "sing", then read on

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop test plans, procedures, and scripts to perform shock, vibration, thermal, humidity and vacuum testing on high and low voltage flight hardware.Conduct verification testing that includes power-on, functional, acceptance and qualification and document test results for the high and low voltage distribution, power regulation and conversion hardware.Support the integration of vehicle hardware and analysis tooling necessary to verify the requirements and performance of units under test.Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a lab environment.Support integration and test activities including wiring, hardware installation, and test bench setup.Participate in design and system reviews to provide feedback on integration and testability throughout all phases of the project.Participate in program level technology development, mission assurance and safety initiatives, and development process improvements.Effectively communicate development status, risks, and challenges to management.

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline5+ years of relevant experience as a hardware test engineer, specifically in electronics hardware development such as testing high voltage switching, high voltage and power regulation, or other advanced electronic commercial or aerospace productsExperience with analog, digital or mixed-signal circuit design, including analysis, simulation, test, troubleshooting, and part selectionKnowledge of signal integrity, power, grounding, and general board layout principlesExperience developing special electronic test equipment and troubleshooting equipmentProficient in the use of standard electronic lab tests and troubleshooting equipmentExperience with programming in C++ and/or Python (BONUS)NI LabVIEW / TestStand experience Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Bonus Qualifications:

M.S. degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline7+ years of relevant experienceExperience with the development and execution of a large-scale verification of avionics on autonomous spaceflight systemsExperience supporting testbeds for spaceflight systemsElectrical Design and Analysis tools: LTSpice, PSpice, SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, Simscape
