School based Clinician

The School Based Community Clinician will work under the direction of the Program Director of the Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention (YMCI) program to provide urgent care services, school clinical support directly to students, act as a clinical resource to school staff and provide referral supports to community programs including the Aspire CBHC for outpatient and emergency services. 

  • Works collaboratively with the school, as well as the Aspire CBHC staff, to provide clinical supports for students that the school has assessed would benefit from a behavioral health intervention. 
  • Provides some short term supports within the school setting. 
  • Serves as a liaison/bridge for the students and families to access community supports including the Aspire CBHC. 
  • Provides psychoeducation for students, families, and school staff about behavioral health and community resources.Required Skills
    • Must demonstrate the following characteristics: Flexibility with schedule, ability to function as a team member in assessing the needs of individuals, the ability to contribute in the development of policies and procedures, creativity and resourcefulness in seeking pathways that will provide support to the program.
    • Bilingual skills and/or experience with multicultural populations preferred

      Required Experience

      • Minimum of 1 year experience working with children and families.
      • Experience with trauma informed care.
      • Experience working in a school or community setting preferred.
      • Knowledge of community resources, CBHI, SUD and recovery services preferred.
      • Demonstrated ability to work successfully at coordinating care across a continuum of care required.
      • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
      • Independent Licensed Preferred
