Starting Rate of pay: $26.78/hour

Shift Premium:               Nightshift $1.50/hour extra 

 

 

Shifts Available and Hours: Position follows the DuPont shift schedule.

The DuPont shift schedule uses a four-week cycle:

Days-6:00am to 6:00pm then Nights are 6:00pm to 6:00am

Four-night shifts, Three days off, Three-day shifts, One day off, Three-night shifts, Three days off, Four-day shifts, Seven days off.

The schedule then repeats itself at the end of this 28-day cycle.

Required Education/Experience:
  • Ability to understand and deliver basic commands in English.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to use a calculator and read a measuring tape.
  • Capability to lift 50lbs.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Excellent punctuality and attendance record.
  • Experience with forklift and crane operations is preferred.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts.
  • Interpersonal skills: Team player, organized, self-starter, adaptable to change, results-oriented, and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Previous experience in a heavy industrial, fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Set up equipment accurately and interpret gauging equipment readings.
  • Maintain meticulous records both on paper and computer systems.
  • Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, skid loaders, sweepers, and overhead cranes.
  • Conduct quality control checks during operations and adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Prioritize safety in all job tasks and adhere to safety rules and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or actions.
  • Charge scrap metal into furnaces, ensuring they are free of contaminants.
  • Ensure the metal in furnaces is at the proper temperature.
