Job Description

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for the full cycle accounting for the hotel. Duties include: preparing and maintaining accurate financial records by performing a variety of complex clerical and accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of financial records, and preparing financial, statistical, and/or technical reports.

Essential Job Functions:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Monthly close procedures Prepare daily deposits and cash handling Responsible for all Account Payables activities Record daily sales and post in the accounting system Perform monthly bank reconciliations Review and dispute chargebacks Support the back-office team as needed Complete ad hoc requests

Necessary Skills and Attributes:

Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening, and problem-solving skills Detail oriented Well organized Relevant Accounting experience and skills Possess strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma

Qualifications and Skills:

Hospitality experience is a plus Knowledge of M3 is a plus but not necessary as training will be provided Excellent communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; bend; walk; use hands or finger; or feel objects, tools or controls; lift boxes (up to 15 pounds); talk and hear. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision to a computer screen.
