Major duties may include, but are not limited the following:
Provides overall professional and technical direction for the museum collection program.
Ensures development and implementation of all required museum collection programs and plans.
Organizes the collections and maintains proper preservation, security, fire protection, collection storage, and research laboratory conditions.
Provides technical advice, assistance, and training for staff, remote park curatorial personnel, and cooperators and frequently serves as team leader on curatorial projects.
Provides authoritative technical direction for management of the park's archives.
