Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In this role you will be:

  • Providing basic nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Exemplifying the IRMC mission, vision, and values, acting in accordance with IRMC policies and procedures to ensure quality care is provided.
  • Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication skill to effectively communicate with patients, family, and members of the organization.
  • Performing a variety of assigned tasks
  • Identifying each patient’s age-specific needs and providing appropriate care as assigned
  • Will be required to float to all units, including Gero psych, adult, and adolescent.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • EDUCATION: A high school graduate or equivalent.
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year med-surg and/or geriatric experience
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
    • BLS required or attained within 1 month of hire.
    • Successful completion of approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program
