STRIDE Community Health Center is a 501(c)(3) Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a 30-year history of providing primary care and other health-related services in a community-based setting. Established in 1989 in response to the primary health care needs of the medically indigent population in suburban Denver, STRIDE Community Health Center has the largest population base of any FQHC in Colorado and provides primary care, dental, pharmacy, behavioral health, health education, care coordination, patient navigation, pharmacy, and outreach and enrollment services in accordance with its mission.

What will you be doing in this role? A successful candidate will:General Purpose: In an effort to allow for the best patient care results, the Dental Assistant primarily assists Dentists with primary patient care services.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Assists dentist with treatment and care of dental patients Offers chairside assistance to dentists for patient care services and other dental procedures Serves as a primary point of contact for patients upon introduction and entry to the dental clinic Provides dual customer service efforts to the dentist and to dental patients Expected to have dental set-up ready when dentist enters room Performs special treatment procedures in the areas of Pedodontic, Endodontic, Prosthetic, Periodontic dentistry Sterilizes and prepares all dental instruments, equipment, and other materials for daily use Completes daily spore tests, cleaning, x-ray processing equipment, and dental evacuation traps Capable of disinfecting and pouring impressions Non-Essential Duties/Responsibilities Attends all staff meetings and all other meetings as assigned. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am -4:30pm
Salary based on experience: $21.12 - $28.82 hourly

Education or Formal Training: Dental assistant certification, EDDA preferred.

A successful candidate will possess experience:

Experience: Previous experience working as a dental assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.

Material and equipment directly used: Enters patient data into computer viause of EMR database system, general dental instruments and equipment, x ray technology, computer, printer, multi-line telephone systems, fax machine, copy machine, calculator, and all Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and the internet.

Working environment/physical activities: Office environment within a clinical setting. Enters data into computer programs via computer, mouse and keyboard. Moves about the office environment and occasionally to other locations. Moves/transports objects up to 25 lbs occasionally. Communicates information to others. Discerns/analyzes information from others to assist in decision making.
