Reporting to the Proposal Manager, the Proposal Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the proposal development process, ensuring that all proposals are compliant, persuasive, and submitted on time. They play a crucial role in managing proposals and supervising team members who are directly involved in proposal coordination. The Proposal Supervisor ensures that the proposal team adheres to established processes and standards and provides guidance and support to ensure high-quality submissions.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Oversee the development of proposals, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and internal standards.

  • Supervise and mentor teams of 3-5 Proposals Coordinators to ensure timely and accurate submissions of proposals.

  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring balanced workloads and efficient use of resources.

  • Conduct regular check-ins and status meetings to monitor progress and address any issues.

  • Review and provide feedback on proposal drafts to ensure clarity, persuasiveness, and compliance.

  • Ensure that all proposal activities adhere to the organization's established processes and best practices.

  • Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposal development process.

  • Facilitate communication between proposal team members, estimators, operations team, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders.

  • Coordinate inputs and reviews from various departments to ensure comprehensive and cohesive proposals.

  • Conduct final reviews of proposals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

  • Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and enhance the overall quality of proposals.

  • Maintain detailed records of proposal activities, including timelines, responsibilities, and outcomes.

  • Prepare regular reports on proposal status, team performance, and process improvements.

  • Document lessons learned and best practices to continuously improve the proposal development process.
     

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management or a related role, preferably in the construction industry.

  • Prior experiencing supervising a team of Proposals Coordinators.

  • Strong understanding of proposal development processes and best practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency in proposal management software and tools. 

  • APMP Foundation or Practitioner Certification is an asset.

  • Experience in supervising and mentoring proposal team members.
