Locums Pain Management Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Locum Pain Management Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a role in Angels Camp, CA. This position is a day shift role with no weekend or on-call requirements, providing a stable and predictable schedule.

In this role, you will be responsible for seeing patients within the pain management specialty. While you will manage and assess patient needs, escalating opiate doses is not expected of the NP/PA; this responsibility typically falls to the supervising physician. Although performing procedures is optional, the physician is available to provide guidance and teaching if you are interested in expanding your procedural skills.

You will work under the direction of our Pain Management Physician and collaborate with a support team that includes a Medical Assistant and Front Office staff. Patient records and documentation are managed using Cerner PCA.

 

Requirements:

 

·         Board Certified or Board Eligible

·         ACLS Certification

·         BLS Certification

·         DEA registration

·         NCCPA certification for PAs

·         Active California license (or willingness to obtain)
