Environmental Scientist

You will play a key role in project management for environmental and geology–related projects. The ideal candidate will have five to ten years of experience in environmental science, with strong technical writing skills and a demonstrated record of diverse project experience in Pennsylvania (experience in New Jersey is a plus). Experience with Phase 1 and 2 Act 2, RCRA, Brownfield, Geotechnical/Soils projects is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
Manage environmental and geology–related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline.
Conduct environmental assessments, including Phase 1 and 2 site investigations, Act 2 compliance, RCRA assessments, and Brownfield evaluations.
Perform geotechnical and soil investigations, analyzing soil samples and interpreting results.
Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors to facilitate project progress and compliance.
Prepare technical reports, proposals, and permit applications with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Conduct fieldwork, including soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and site inspections as needed.
Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and clients, addressing project–specific challenges and requirements.
Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and optimize project outcomes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field.
Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Geologist, Professional Engineer) are a plus.
Five to ten years of experience in environmental science, geology or related field, with a focus on project management.
Strong technical writing skills, with experience in preparing technical reports and proposals.
Demonstrated record of diverse project experience in Pennsylvania; experience in New Jersey is a plus.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements, including Phase 1 and 2 Act 2, RCRA, and Brownfield regulations.
Experience with geotechnical investigations and soil analysis techniques preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Detail–oriented with a commitment to delivering high–quality work on time and within budget.
