Germantown Emergency Center seeks to hire an experienced a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Emergency Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As an LPN you will:
• Contribute to the nursing assessment by collecting data through direct observation, interviews with the client or client's family and significant others, and review of the client's medical record and environment.
• Reports to other members of the health care team in a timely, accurate and complete manner on data collected from the client, client's family and / or significant others.
• Documents data in the patient record in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
• Delegation of tasks to certified nursing assistants within their scope of practice. When delegating the LPN shall instruct, direct and regularly evaluate the performance of nursing tasks. Discontinue any delegated task if performance is not done competently.

Qualifications include:
• High School diploma
• Completion of accredited LPN program
• 1 year clinical experience
• LPN license in Maryland or compact licensure
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Work Schedule:

Full Time: 36 hours per week (three 12 hour shifts)

Mid shift: 11AM-11PM

Every other weekend and holiday rotations.

Tobacco and Drug Statement
