Truck Driver (non-CDL) / $15.0-$16.0 per hour / North East, PA

Must Haves:
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 55 lbs. on your own and up to 200+ lbs. with a team lift or equipment assistanceAbility to walk, bend, stoup, crouch, kneel, climb, stand, sit for 10 or more hoursAbility to work in high/cold temperaturesAbility to communicate needs and concerns in a timely mannerAbility to read and understand process sheetsAbility to hear horns, buzzers, and an intercom page, and respond accordinglyAbility to follow all driving regulations as defined by the state and F3 MetalworxAbility to use and operate a forklift or other loading and unloading equipmentAbility to wear proper PPE- respirators (as needed), safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, and steel or safety toe shoes or boots

Job Description:

Job DescriptionThe basic function of this position is to transport finished and unfinished goods to and from customers according to the requirements as described in the process manual. The incumbent must have or be willing to obtain a DOT Medical clearance card. Reporting RelationshipThe Driver will report to the supervisor and/or shipping and receiving. In the event the supervisor and/or shipping and receiving is not available they will report to the plant manager.

Duties and Responsibilities•Properly load and unload finished and unfinished goods•Complete the required shipping documents where necessary•Report any incidents encountered while on the road to supervisor in a timely manner•Complete a truck inspection before and after each trip and record any defects found•Complete a driver log of activities•Report mechanical problems immediately•Keep the truck and any working area clean and in good working order•Plan routes using maps or GPS•Transport finished and unfinished good to and from customers in a timely manner•Communicate clearly with shipping and receiving, and scheduling to ensure that shipments are delivered on time•Identify and verify the following• Part numbers/names• Customer names and address• Initiate process improvements•Maintain inventory of necessary equipment related to the use of the truck and loading/unloading
