Summary
The Agricultural Equipment Sales Representative is responsible for selling new and used equipment to both business and consumer customers. This role also involves promoting services offered by the parts, service, and trucking departments, and representing the company with professionalism and integrity. - Price Negotiation: Negotiate prices and services with customers to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Marketing Materials: Supply customers with relevant product brochures and literature to aid their decision-making process.
- Credit Applications: Gather and process customer information for credit applications efficiently and accurately.
- Demonstrations Coordination: Arrange and schedule product demonstrations at the dealership or customers' locations, showcasing product features and benefits.
- Logistics Management: Coordinate and oversee the scheduling of product deliveries and transfers, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Delivery Oversight: Attend equipment deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction and provide operational training as needed.
- Post-Sale Support: Maintain contact with customers before and after sales to resolve issues, provide ongoing support, and cultivate new sales opportunities.
- Prospecting: Identify potential customers by reviewing lists, property maps, participating in relevant organizations, and attending trade shows and industry events.
- Market Monitoring: Stay informed about market conditions, commodity prices, and competitors' products, pricing, and promotions to maintain a competitive edge.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary paperwork, including sales quotes, orders, credit applications, expense reports, and vehicle fuel and mileage reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Sales Records: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and potential deals for future reference and analysis.
- Goal Setting: Contribute to the development of personal and team sales goals, striving for continuous improvement and success.
- Customer Service: Greet and assist all dealership visitors, directing them to the appropriate department or personnel.
- Professional Development: Attend relevant sales and product training sessions and meetings to stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge.
- Mentorship: Mentor and train newly hired sales representatives, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster their development.
- Dealership Support: Assist with general dealership operations as needed, contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- CRM Management: Efficiently utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to log and track all sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-up actions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records to enhance customer service and sales performance.
- Saturday Availability: Work a minimum of one Saturday per month, from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, to accommodate customer needs and ensure continuous service support.
- Customer Engagement: Conduct regular visits to customers in coordination with the parts and service departments to understand their needs, provide solutions, and promote products and services.

This position has no direct reports.
Required Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-3 years of related experience
Preferred Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree or 2-year Technical Degree in a related field
3-5 years of related experience

Work Environment
This position works in an office environment and outdoors and is frequently inside a motor vehicle. The varying work environments results in occasional variations in light, sound, temperature, and precipitation levels. There is occasional exposure to dust, other airborne particles, fumes, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. This position routinely operates a motor vehicle and occasionally operates heavy equipment.
