About the clinician's workday
Physicians are expected to be present for induction and emergence, participate in post-op care, and conduct pre-op evaluations. Types of cases include Level II Trauma, Ortho, Spine, Vascular, limited Neuro, Endo, and EP Lab, with no OB or transplant cases. Shifts consist of five 10-hour shifts per week, with post-call days off following weekday in-house call. Additionally, there is a 24-hour regular weekend shift from Saturday 7am to Sunday 7am. Trauma call involves an in-house shift from 3pm to 7am, with a CRNA assisting for general OR/Trauma/IR cases, and the post-call day can be taken off if preferred. The EMR systems used are Medaxion and Meditech.
