Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2025 Industrial Engineering Intern. In this role, you will work in Operations/Manufacturing supporting operation industrial engineering analysis. Assist in analyzing and developing corrective actions for performance within the product centers or build of the aircraft. Perform process observations to better learn blades manufacturing and develop recommendations for cost reduction initiatives. Coordinate with Operations and Quality leadership and support teams to assist with the tracking of cost reduction projects, analyze labor data and assess labor practices. Assist in the development and updating of build plans, schedules, and shop floor visual aids for operations and quality. Present project work to IE and Operations Management, including change recommendations. The successful candidate will display an ability to think logically, communicate a clear understanding of their subject matter and offer informal suggestions for process improvements.. Must be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Quality, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related fields
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including proficiency in Excel and Power Point
- Familiar with Lead manufacturing principles (Lean Six Sigma, 5S, process improvement)
-Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with being a team player
- Familiar with Tableau
- Strong organizational skills including attention to detail

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
