North Carolina Surgery is seeking a Acute Care Surgeon Hospitalist to join their growing team. The board certified surgeons group offer advanced training and the latest techniques in various specialty areas while focusing on giving patients undivided attention. Joining a group of 5 acute care surgeons covering a busy community hospital (not a trauma center) and part of the UNC system.
Responsibilities
Manage acute care surgical issues for the ER, ICU and hospital based consultsSupport General Surgery, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology and Wound care divisions at night and in the ERRounding on inpatients as well as 2 clinics per weekDetails
14 shifts per 28 day cycle, 12 hour shiftsAverage 5 day shifts (7am-7pm), 7 night shifts (7pm-7am), 2 backup shifts (7am-5pm)Typically cover 1 weekend night call per monthExperienced or fellowship in Acute Care surgery preferredHigh complex casesAPP's part of the programUNC REX Hospital (member of UNC Health Care) founded in 1894, is a private, not-for-profit health care system. For over 125 years, UNC REX has met the health care needs of our community by providing various services throughout the Wake County. Rex Healthcare has multiple facilities located in Apex, Cary, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Wakefield and Raleigh.
