Position Summary:
The FDC Finance Manager will support the FD&C Leadership and will manage Capital Program finances overseeing their Operating and Capital Budget; responsibilities may includes supervision of the Finance Analysts, e-Builder, variance analysis and all financial aspects of the Facilities Design & Construction Division. Applies principles of accounting, statistical and operational analysis in order to maintain overall fiscal success including, but not limited to, variance analysis, preparing journal entries, report generation and manipulation, budgeting and costing. Provide decision support and comply with month-end and year-end closing requirements. Provides support to a multi-disciplinary, multi-skilled workforce to ensure that services and outcomes comply with standards established by various accrediting, licensing, other regulatory agencies and the Public Health Trust. Significant role in the administration or preparation of the departments or the organization's financial statements, cost reports and budget. The incumbent may assist and act in a confidential capacity to help manage, formulate, determine and effectuate management process and polices. The incumbent may attend management meetings and may be involved directly or indirectly in the decision making process around confidential management decisions. Position requires exercise of independent judgment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The FDC Finance Manager will manage all aspects of finance and project controls for the FD&C operations and assigned capital projects. Manages all aspects of finance and project controls for the FD&C operations and assigned capital projects
- Guide, support & set policy as required to manage the Budget & expense, invoice, commitment, & projection for all projects. Cash Flow prediction, Document Control, Project Set up and close-out.
- Lead E-Builder development, utilization, compliance and improvement.
- Interact with any/all internal departments to provide required information & policy compliance to include budget, finance, accounting, audit, procurement and unit CFO.
- Collaborate with Project Teams to reconcile contracts, invoicing, paid to date, and projections to accurately report project health.
- Lead audit response and research, recommend Management responses, teach, & train to comply with any new control put in place and automate as possible.
- Create and manage value add reporting systems.
- Analyze, maintain and trouble shoot Lawson/Ebuilder interfaces to assure accuracy.
- Provide E builder administration as required.
- Supervise the FDC Division preparation of all journal entries and monthly capital and operating accruals.
- Acts as a role model for employees and customers by demonstrating exemplary personal and professional attributes consistent with organizational philosophies.
- Performs all other related job duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- Generally requires 5 to 7 years of accounting/finance experience. Management experience is required. Project Management and experience in accounting preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related field is required. Masters or Accounting Degree Highly preferred.
Skills:
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment.
- Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications.
Credentials:
- CPA license preferred.
