Included but are not limited to:
Provide and/or supervise direct patient care for oncology and hematology patients, following the nursing process in alignment with the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice.
Utilize advanced specialized knowledge and judgment to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to oncology and hematology patients and their families.
Administer medications and procedures related to oncology and hematology treatment and procedures, according to established policies and guidelines.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members serving as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, to coordinate care and influence care outcomes for oncology and hematology patients.
Participate in quality improvement processes, initiatives, in-service education and oncology professional development activities to improve patient outcomes.
Conduct physiological assessments and document in the electronic health record (EHR) per policies and procedures for infusion suite patients.
Triage patient problems, evaluate symptoms, monitor, track, and report ongoing care needs and outcomes for oncology and hematology patients to the interdisciplinary team.
Provide a safe working environment while administering, handling, and disposing of antineoplastic drugs, managing vascular access devices, and overseeing infusion treatments in the infusion suite setting.
Manage monitoring requirements for specific drugs, handling immediate infusion reactions, and preventing and managing oncology-related symptoms and adverse events, such as chemo-related symptoms and immune-related adverse events.
Use a team approach to identify, analyze, and resolve patient care problems with measurable outcomes.

Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, no weekends, no holidays

This position is in the Excepted Service
Current and former Federal employees must submit copies of their most recent SF-50, (Notice of Personnel Action). The SF-50 must identify the position title, series, grade, step, tenure and type of service (Competitive or Excepted). In some cases, more than one SF-50 may be required to show a higher grade previously held.
This position is covered by a special rate.
Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
