Job Overview and Responsibilities

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for management and coordination of the site Inventory Team.

This includes:
• Ensuring the reporting and compliance for all Inventory Metrics required for the site.
• Oversee Inventory Specialists to assure all responsibilities are performed including; raw materials ordering from warehouse and delivery to machines and communication back to planning for any raw material concerns that can cause machine downtime, ensuring appropriate mins/maxs set for packaging materials not part of the bill of material (BOM), reconciliation of cycle counts, and monitoring/clearing of LL01 Warehouse Activity Monitor in SAP, maintain SAP data accuracy through reporting and monitoring all inventory transactions are complete (negatives, consumables, cost center charge offs, etc)
• Monitoring daily production orders for timely and accurate closure. Work with Production Leaders on any issues arising from untimely or inaccurate closures/consumptions. Report monthly to Finance to confirm completion and signal any non-settle orders.
• Participate in Monthly SMOG meetings and coordinate SMOG and Scrap material disposals for on and offsite materials ensure material transactions are keyed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Manage 3PL inventory locations for verifying inventory accuracy.
• Point of contact for all inventory issues and work collaboratively with the Regional NA Inventory Analyst
Inventory Management and Data Accuracy
• Ensure site Cycle Count yearly schedule is created, maintained, assigned to areas and completed to ensure all items are counted at a minimum 1x per year. Schedule and manage yearly physical for 3PL partner.
• Complete monthly assigned RCCA for required inventory adjustments of specified value.
• Implement RCCA needed for any areas underperforming for Inventory metrics.
• Schedule additional counts and implement additional training for any areas underperforming.
• Utilize SAP to ensure data is accurate via daily inventory reports. Identify negative, duplicate, stuck and missed transactions.
• Timely transaction completion for all inventory adjustments including Cycle Counts, SMOG, scrap, consumables and cost center transactions.
Production Support Management
• Oversee Production support of the 24/48/72 hour raw material supply process. Ensure required materials are ordered and delivered to the staging area 48hrs before production run.
• Support Planning and Production leaders for changes in schedule and re-evaluating raw material needs and expedite when required.
• Ensure all production is reported and raw materials consumed.
• The Inventory Control Manager must have an excellent understanding of SAP for inventory monitoring and tracking. Use of SAP, Excel, offsite MRP systems, material management and operations and supply chain processes including unique issues and constraints.
Education and Experience
• 5 years of experience in inventory control and Bachelors degree.
Skills
• Strong analytical skills, problem solving (root cause / Pareto)
• Leadership and communication skills.
