PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

 The position of Auto Attendant offers a unique opportunity to work in a world-class automotive group and contribute to the flawless operation of the intermodal team. As an Auto Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely loading and unloading of automotive railcars at our terminal. Your accountability will extend to classifying all inventory accurately, guaranteeing the smooth departure of customer shipments to their intended destinations. Additionally, you will coordinate shipments for delivery to truck drivers for onward transportation to our valued customers.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Load and unload all autos in the Bensenville auto compound, strictly adhering to AAR standards
• Ensure the accuracy of all inventory for both outbound and inbound shipments, maintaining exceptional attention to detail
• Perform work with unwavering accuracy and safety awareness, following the highest standards
• Efficiently load and unload railcars on designated tracks and within designated parking zones, ensuring flawless execution

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must possess a class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract
• Able to meet daily requirements with minimal direction
• Leverage feedback provided on work performance to improve results
• Attention to detail enabling the accuracy of unloads/loads
• Must possess reading and writing skills, including the ability to follow more advanced written instruction and/or training in skills such as driving
• Situationally aware of surrounding to be able to work safely
• Work 8-12hr days working in the elements, preforming physical labour, climbing up and down off railcars, and laying chocks at the wheels
