Lead Cook

Village Bottle Shop and Tasting Room is hiring a Lead Cook for our newest West Kapolei location

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 45lbs from the floor to waist height safely.
• Minimum two years experience in a supervisory role in a fast paced volume kitchen preferred.
• Have a current food safety handlers card, or be able to obtain one upon hire.
• Assist the Chef and Sous Chef with supervising, coaching, and disciplinary actions of BOH staff.  Includes opening and closing procedures based upon shift scheduled.
• Will be working a station and will be helping to train new hires on all stations.
• Must be able to work both AM and/or PM shifts as business needs dictate.
• Collaborate with Chef and Sous Chef on food specials by paying attention to customer feedback and current food trends.
• Follow proper closing and breakdown procedures to ensure the kitchen and equipment are well maintained
• Report and equipment malfunction, food/cleaning inventory issues to Kitchen manager in a timely manner to allow a prompt response and resolution to any issues.
• Be punctual and ready to work scheduled shifts.
