Charleston Area Medical Center is  seeking a highly skilled and motivated Otologist/Neurotologist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with disorders of the ear, including hearing loss, balance disorders, and related conditions. As an integral member of our team, the Otologist/Neurotologist will collaborate with other specialists to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose patients with ear-related disorders using a combination of clinical examination, imaging studies, and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, which may include medical management, surgical intervention, or other therapeutic modalities.
  • Perform surgical procedures related to otology and neurotology, such as cochlear implantation, mastoidectomy, stapedectomy, and acoustic neuroma resection.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients undergoing otologic/neurotologic procedures, including counseling and rehabilitation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, case reviews, and educational activities to promote collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Educate patients, families, and healthcare professionals about ear disorders, treatment options, and preventive measures.

    Qualifications:

    • Medical degree from an accredited institution
    • Residency training in Otolaryngology (ENT)
    • Fellowship training in Otology/Neurotology
    • Board certification or eligibility in Otolaryngology
    • Eligibility for medical licensure in West Virginia
    • Demonstrated surgical proficiency in otologic/neurotologic procedures
    • Strong clinical skills and diagnostic abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
