Overnight Security Guard

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as an Overnight Security Guard with the ability to cover if needed during the day shift. This position will require the individual to work late-night hours to ensure the safety and security of our residents, guests, and property. Needed ASAP.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of the premises
  • Patrol the property regularly to ensure safety and address any suspicious activity
  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
  • Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours
  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous security experience preferred, but not necessary
  • Must possess a valid State of Hawaii Guard Card
  • Must be able to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with surveillance systems
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Must be able to cover day shift as needed
