Shipboard Radio Communication Systems Technician

Job Description The selected candidate will conduct training and testing of the installed Radio Communications Systems on various classes of US Navy ships. Must have an in-depth knowledge of US Navy communications protocols, applications, and equipment/system set-up and troubleshooting procedures. Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team conducting testing of equipment/systems and crew proficiency in operation of shipboard communications systems.

The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $26.07/hr/Tech IV $32.30 an hour
This position is located in San Diego, CA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to San Diego, CA or surrounding areas. Required Education, Experience, & Skills High school diploma and at least 4 years of related experience

Pay Information
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
