Job Summary:
HCA Healthcare is seeking to recruit an interventional cardiologist to join a large and growing cardiology practice based in Brownsville, TX.Qualified Candidates:
- Physicians must have training from an interventional cardiology fellowship, or have experience as an interventional cardiologist
- The qualified candidate must be able to obtain or maintain an active and clear Texas medical license in good standing
- Must be board certified, or board eligible with the ability to retain board certification
- Spanish speaking cardiologist strongly preferred, but not required
- Practice is willing to sponsor H1B visa cardiologists
- Clinic hours are 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Thursday, and Friday from 8 am - 3 pm
- The practice has current clinic locations in South Texas - and is planning on expanding into the Brownsville market with a new, successful interventional cardiology recruit to their team
Incentive/Benefits Package:
- Valley Regional Medical Center will offer up a financial support to the new recruit, including salary subsidy support in year one of practice, along with practice expense support to help the recruit get established in the community
- The hospital will also offer relocation and marketing allowance, as well as a sign-on bonus
- Partnership track available with the practice

- The current practice has a team of cardiologists on staff, covering three locations across Southern Texas
- Practice has been serving the South Texas area for over 30 years
The 214-bed licensed Valley Regional Medical Center is a 60 million state-of-the-art acute care hospital. Valley Regional Medical Center accommodates patients with the latest technology and care delivered in a pleasing, hotel-like environment. The hospital serves a catchment area of 500,000+ and since there is no tertiary care center, VRMC sees a variety of interesting cases.
Valley Regional Medical Center is a Level III Trauma Center and offers many sophisticated services such as emergency care, stroke certified center, neonatal intensive care, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery and orthopaedic surgery.
The Women’s Pavilion specializes in obstetrics and neonatology and offers labor and delivery suites, cheerful, homelike birthing rooms and newborn nurseries, a 10-bed NICU and a transport team available 24-hours/day.
