Bistro Lead
The Courtyard by Marriott Tacoma Downtown is seeking a Bistro Lead to join our team. The Bistro Lead oversees and assists with the operations of the Bistro to ensure outstanding food service and customer service is provided to guests and that safe and accurate procedures are followed. The Bistro Lead position will require cooking and bartending.

- Mostly P.M. schedule. May require occasional A.M coverage. Must be available weekends and holidays
- $19.04 to $20.09 per hour/DOE plus shared tips.

- Food and beverage products, preparation and handling techniques.
- Health codes, food sanitation and safety practices.
- Standard cash handling procedures.
- State liquor service regulations.
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to understand recipes, measurements, requisition amounts and portion sizes.
- Beer, wine and spirits including preparation techniques, drink recipes and substitutions.
- Meet quality standards for service and maintains a neat and clean work station at all times.
- Maintains decorum in stressful situations.
- Establish and maintain a positive, professional relationship with co-workers to ensure efficient food and beverage service and overall guest satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively in the English language by speaking, both in writing and verbally.
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide quickly and accurately to handle money, give correct change, balance till and prepare cash drops
- Demonstrate proficiency with Point of Sale (Micros preferred) computer system or similar.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance to meet hotel standards and represent the hotel positively.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete daily activities.
- One year of culinary or related food-handling experience preferred; at least one year experience providing customer service directly to the public.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Food Handlers Permit required.
- Valid Alcohol Server Permit required.
