Summary

Support the Military's Quality of Life programs The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations command (CNIC); Naval Base Kitsap - Bremerton



Duties

  • Performs rescue work, promptly renders CPR or emergency first aid and calls for medical assistance as necessary
  • Supervises swimmers for safety and crowd control
  • Enforces safety and pool regulations
  • Promptly reports safety hazards to supervisor
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the buildings and grounds in the pool area
  • Responsible for testing chemical levels
  • Provides instruction to youth and adults in incremental swim lessons/lifeguarding/CPR courses
  • May assist with scheduled pool parties, after hours of operation or with base wide special events
  • Schedule includes evenings and weekends
  • Other duties as assigned
