1.    PURPOSE

The purpose of this job description is to establish and define the authority, accountability, reporting relationships, responsibilities, duties, and measure of performance for the job of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Polyvance.

2.    BASIC FUNCTION

The basic function of the CRO is to:

2.1.    Lead the field sales team to grow the company’s sales. This involves matching field sales opportunities to available sales resources in the most efficient manner possible.

2.2.    Manage relationships and communicate with customers (end users and distributors) to grow sales and enhance the company’s reputation in the industry.

2.3.    Go into the field to seek, contact, and negotiate with potential and current customers (end users and distributors) and attain sales for the company.

2.4.    Lead the team of people at the company who are responsible for sales, marketing, advertising, product development, and training.

2.5.    Be the face of the company at trade shows, industry conferences, and other customer interactions.

2.6.    To achieve the budgeted sales and profit increases as presented by the CEO.

3.    REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The CRO reports to and is accountable to the Chief Executive Officer.

4.    JOB REQUIREMENTS

4.1. EDUCATION

4.1.1.    Required: Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in business or marketing.

4.1.2.    Preferred: Masters of Business Administration.

4.2. LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION

4.2.1.    Required: None.

4.2.2.    Preferred: None.

4.3. EXPERIENCE

4.3.1.    Required: Three years of experience in sales or marketing.

4.3.2.    Preferred: Experience in sales and/or marketing management, especially in the auto collision repair industry.

4.4. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

4.4.1.    Ability to sell products for the company.

4.4.2.    Ability to understand the needs of business accounts through interaction and converting those needs into sales or new product ideas.

4.4.3.    Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

4.4.4.    Excellent knowledge of the collision repair industry and trends impacting the business.

4.4.5.    Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, in English.

4.4.6.    Ability to converse in Spanish would be beneficial but not required.

4.4.7.    Ability to represent the company well at trade shows, conferences, and in the field with customers. Must have clear diction, a clean-cut appearance, and a friendly personality.

4.4.8.    Ability to use Microsoft Excel to perform business calculations and to manage databases.

4.4.9.    Ability to write clear and concise business correspondence in both Microsoft Word and in e-mails.

4.4.10. Ability to create efficient travel itineraries, both for driving and for flying.

4.4.11. Ability to travel by car and/or commercial aircraft, both domestically and internationally.

4.4.12. Ability to do routine business math calculations including computation of discounts, profit margins, etc.

4.5. PHYSICAL

To effectively perform this job, the employee must have command of all five senses, must be able to move around the factory and office to communicate with others, and must have sufficient physical health and energy to perform the job for at least eight hours per working day. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on an occasional basis.

4.6. WORKING CONDITIONS

4.6.1.      This position will be working primarily indoors at the office in Rainsville, Alabama in a smoke-free environment, but also requires the employee to move through other areas on a regular basis. The employee will encounter varying temperatures from these areas. Some areas of the factory do not have climate control, so the building may be uncomfortably hot and humid in the summer time.

4.6.2.      Travel to customer sites, trade shows, or conferences is necessary at times, on an average of roughly twice per month.

4.6.3.      The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can be higher depending on the work in progress, hearing protection may be required.

4.6.4.      When working in a body shop environment, the CRO may be required to wear personal protective equipment (for example, a respirator mask, appropriate eye protection, and/or other safety apparel).

4.7. WORKING HOURS & FLSA EXEMPT STATUS

4.7.1.      Working hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm with a one-hour lunch break. Overtime may occasionally be required by company management. Working hours are subject to change without notice.

4.7.2.      The CRO is paid on an salary basis and is exempt from Fair Labor Standards Act overtime rules.

5.    AUTHORITY

The CRO is appointed by and accountable to the CEO. The CRO receives authority from the CEO necessary to run the company’s day-to-day sales, marketing, advertising, new product development, and training operations. Such authority includes:

5.1.         That which is required to successfully accomplish all of the duties and responsibilities of this position.

5.2.         To communicate with customers, suppliers, prospects, and other industry personnel as needed to achieve company goals.

5.3.         To enforce the company’s policies and procedures.

5.4.         To enter into contracts and agreements on behalf of company to an upper limit of $25,000.

6.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

6.1          Learn and become expert on Polyvance products so that you will be able to demonstrate and train others in their benefits.

6.2.         Make contact with prospective and current end-user and distributor customers to sell the company’s products.

6.3.         Communicate with and support the company’s WD, jobber, and equipment distributor accounts to promote understanding and increase sales of our products.

6.4.         Lead and manage the company’s sales force to help ensure efficient satisfaction of customer requests and to achieve the company’s sales goals.

6.5.         Attend trade shows, conventions, seminars, and other meetings to promote the company, to network with industry personnel, or to enhance your professional knowledge.

6.6.         Prepare for trade shows: decide what needs to be sent, pack the crate, unpack, setup, teardown, all management before, during, and after.

6.7.         Fulfill requests from distributor customers for demo supplies and sales tools.

6.8.         Continuously update customer and prospect information in our CRM database.

6.9.         Develop systems or procedures for following through on leads, contacts, and commitments.

6.10.      Manage information in an organized manner.

6.11.      Periodically contact established customers to ensure their satisfaction with the company’s products and services and to promote additional sales.

6.12.      Create and encourage an atmosphere that fosters creative ideas amongst your direct reports.

6.13.      Lead and manage the marketing and advertising manager to achieve company goals.

6.14.      In partnership with the marketing and advertising manager, lead discussion of and decide upon promotional programs when needed.

6.15.      Coordinate with the marketing manager to communicate with our customers via social media and our e-mail platform.

6.16.      Lead and manage the product manager to achieve our goals for new product initiation and commercialization.

6.17.      Lead and manage the training manager and administrator to deliver training and develop new training courses when needed.

6.18.      Ensure that all company transactions are conducted in an ethical manner in conformance with company values.

6.19.      Settle all customer-related issues that rise to your attention and seek guidance from the CEO as required.

6.20.      Keep updated on the events in the industry and marketplace in order to help the company take advantage of new changes.

6.21.      Keep informed on competitors' selling policies, tactics, services, and prices offered.

6.22.      Complete and submit all reports required and requested in a complete and timely manner.

6.23.      Collect customer feedback about the performance of our field salesmen and instructors; confer with the CEO regarding hire/fire decisions and compensation.

6.24.      Serve as a role model for all personnel through dress, demeanor, enthusiasm, commitment, and willingness to do whatever it takes to make things work.

6.25.      All other duties and tasks as may be directed from time to time by the CEO.
