The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

About the Role

• Ability to resolve support calls within the defined SLA.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely 
manner.
• Provide technical support to end-users, including diagnosing and resolving technical 
problems.
• Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure optimal 
performance and security.

Your Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other IT team members to implement and maintain IT policies and 
procedures.
• Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge 
sharing.
• Conducts floor level training on new equipment.
• Flexible Shift – Based on Department Manager’s Needs. Must be able to support 
weekend production.
• Complete and communicate end of shift notes including issues seen on the floor 
and project completion updates.
• Basic network knowledge, changing VLANs, troubleshooting connectivity issues.

Who we are looking for

• Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related 
field.
• Proven experience as an IT Technician level 2 or in a similar role.
• Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
• Experience with server administration, virtualization, and network device configuration.
• Familiarity with enterprise-level backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.

Your preferred qualifications

• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional 
(MCITP).
• Experience in the automotive industry or a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of automotive-specific software applications and systems.
• Knowledge of plant Manufacturing Execution Systems.
