  • Company Description Invasive species like Zebra Mussels, Starry Stonewort, and other AIS are creating high risks of devastating recreational boating, swimming, and fishing in counties and cities throughout the state.
  • Waterfront Restoration's mission is to preserve Minnesota lakes and protect them from these invasive species and other AIS threats.
  • Job Description The Watercraft Inspector position serves to inspect, inform and educate the public to the threats of ecologically harmful aquatic invasive species to Minnesota’s waters.
  • Inspectors will complete training of MN DNR protocols, and will be authorized to enforce MN State Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) laws while performing thorough inspections on all incoming or outgoing watercraft at multiple lakes throughout Meeker County.
  • Inspectors will work at public water access sites conducting a brief survey while inspecting watercraft for invasive species.
  • Other duties include assisting with postings and educational materials at access sites, invasive species removal, and other natural resource projects.
  • Weekday and weekend only positions available.
  • Inspection of watercraft for invasive species (inbound and outbound).
