Serves as part of a team that (or at the direction of a supervisor), prepares legal memoranda and other legal documents on complex, sensitive legal issues, including those involving questions of first impression and with strong conflicting precedents, which require extensive research, analysis and ingenuity to resolve.
Serves as part of a team that (or at the directions of a supervisor) assists in conducting or overseeing legal negotiations of settlements or other resolutions of contractual disputes, claims or liabilities, and provides legal advice and other related legal assistance, including preparing or assisting with the drafting of documentation regarding the same.
Responsible for legal matters relating to assigned issues in one or more of the following areas: resolutions, FRF/FSLIC, claims administration, deposit insurance coverage, treatment of failed bank contacts, termination of receiverships, planning and policy analysis, and any other matters that may come within the responsibility of the section.
Serves as part of a team that (or at the direction of a supervisor), provides legal and policy advice concerning routine matters associated with failed bank operations, as well as operations of a bridge institution or an institution in conservatorship.
Serves as part of a team that (or at the direction of a supervisor), participates in IDI closings and post- closing activities in order to provide advice on novel and legal issues.
