As a Licensed Provider for the Department of Veterans Affairs, you will practice independently in the provision of psychological services, engage in professional and scientific work which relates to behavior, capacities, personality, interests, emotions and mental disorders, consulting with peers and supervisors as appropriate.

Major duties and responsibilities for entry level include:

Clinical Responsibilities:
Conduct psycho-diagnostic intake assessments to assess trauma symptoms and
PTSD.
Provide a full range of general psychological assessments and PTSD evaluations.
Provide skill-based and evidenced-based group and individual psychotherapy for patients in the Trauma Recovery Services team, and as needed, the BHIP Teams.
Diagnose mental disorders, conduct psychological or neuropsychological assessments, treat mental disorders through a variety of modalities, and provide adjunctive interventions for medical disorders.





Academic/Teaching/Training:

Assists the Psychology Program Manager and the Trauma Recovery Services Team Lead in the design, development, and implementation of clinical programs for a team of treatment providers..
Complies with national and local performance measures, including timely health care screening, treatment planning, documentation, and completion of clinical reminders for all patients.
Complies with all CPRS documentation procedures, including timeliness standards for documentation and proper patient check out procedures (e.g., entering diagnostic and procedure codes).
Attends and participates in administrative and informational meetings held by the Service Line Chief (or designee) and facility Director as requested



Program Evaluation/Research:

Involved in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives..
Is responsible for timely completion of all clinical charting and documentation required by the Medical Center or healthcare system, as appropriate.
Plans and oversees the completion of process improvement and/or research programs, designed to provide information regarding program planning and relevant treatment approaches. May conduct research.
Oversees the establishment of program monitors and outcome measurements within programs assigned using a data-driven quality assurance process.
Presents outcome data and research results at medical center, VA, regional or national scientific or professional meetings



Other Significant Responsibilities:

Serves on Medical Center or Healthcare System, VISN, and/or National VA committees or task forces.
Represents psychology on decision-making committees at the Medical Center or Healthcare System, as assigned.
Actively participates in leadership roles on local, state, and national professional organizations.
Performs other duties as assigned.




Other duties related to the position at higher grades may be assigned.
