This position is responsible for receiving direction from senior management.  Support programmatic goals and objectives through performance of assigned tasks.  Perform tasks and assignments working independently, developing subject knowledge, and exercising judgement and initiative.  Receive work assignments in terms of team objectives, and specific tasks in terms of individual and collective priorities and deadlines.  Work is reviewed for individual compliance to program objectives, and timely independent task execution under the direction of the Director of Commercial Properties.  

Full-Time, Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Director of Commercial Properties, assist and help coordinate & respond to the day-to-day in-field building operation needs of the facilities & FM Team, including but not limited to janitorial, landscape, life safety, building systems, site services, projects, and general maintenance; assist with the diagnosis of malfunctions and the effective course of action for correcting.
  • Assist with the physical inspection of buildings for needed maintenance and repair; complete inspection reports and checklists to assist in the identification, analysis, and resolution of building and building system issues.
  • Support in-field coordination and expediting of contractor work; physically respond to calls for contractor in-field access to facilities; assist in quality assurance inspections, liaise between Facilities team, vendors, and tenants.
  • Complete DRC on-property inspections within specified pre-determined inspection schedules; complete & submit thorough inspection reports that meet the process expectations & help maintain design standard compliance; re-inspection to ensure reported violations correction.
  • Assist in Facilities' team efforts of maintaining aesthetic and cleanliness standards for buildings, and grounds.
  • Recognize issues that may need repair, replacement, or adjusting and report to the Director of Commercial Properties; make recommendations, propose new ideas and initiatives
  • Under the direction of the Director of Commercial Properties, respond to inquires, requests for assistance, concerns, & complaints in a professional, timely and effective manner and communicate problems and make recommendations.
  • Liaise, establish, and maintain effective working relationships with all CPM teams and stakeholders
  • Work effectively to gain knowledge & understanding of CPM policies, procedures, and systems; building systems' operation & maintenance including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical & life safety; building data including the ability to read & interpret plans, technical drawings & specifications, repair & maintenance programs for all operational aspects of building systems including but not limited to structural, electrical, mechanical, & safety; CPM maintenance & project contracting procedures and contract administration; CPM budge preparation, expenditures, and management.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the discipline of facilities maintenance is required
  • Minimum competency-level knowledge of the general principles of facility maintenance & repair; knowledge of best practices; tools & equipment used to troubleshoot & repair building systems in required
  • Intermediate or better proficiency in personal computing skills & use of MS Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
  • Ability to successfully interact with a diverse population to include courtesy, tact, and diplomacy as needed to provide/gather information, follow-up on work duties, & establish effective working relationships is required
  • Applicants are required to have a valid Florida driver's license with a driving record acceptable to company standards
  • Prompt and regular attendance is a requirement of this position.
