  • Leads and manages the team responsible for development of rate structures and filings, plus the timely submission or required statistical reports
  • Establishes organizational goals, budgets, and methods in compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Works to assure the availability of required resources, unit performance and budgetary objectives
  • Helps to Improve organizational profitability
  • Coordinates with management of multiple teams including actuarial, risk management and underwriting to accomplish organizational objectives

The AVP of Actuarial will work closely with senior management across the business to implement strategies and procedures to improve the firm's profitability and market share in the personal property insurance industry. They will also be responsible for guiding the development, implementation, and execution of goals and objectives for the Actuarial department.

The AVP of actuarial will be responsible for leading both the personal lines pricing and reserving teams, including supervising processes and methodologies, presenting findings and working with external auditors.


What's required to be considered for the AVP of Actuarial...

  • ACAS or FCAS (Preferred)
  • BA/BS Degree in a relevant field
  • 5+ years in a management position or supervisory role
  • 10+ years of actuarial experience (Preferably in the P&C personal lines space)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
