Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) to join our dynamic team in Santa Rosa, CA. In this role, you will perform diagnostic sonographic procedures as ordered by a staff physician, with minimal supervision from the Supervisor of Imaging Services. Your expertise will be crucial in providing high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and small parts imaging.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and reports.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret and evaluate diagnostic results.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure it is operating efficiently.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in sonographic techniques and technology.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Medical Sonography program.
- Certification: National Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS): National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Sonographer in an acute care setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in using advanced ultrasound equipment and software. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
