Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel - PT  Acute Care Hospital

Shift: Days / 9a-5:30p, 8x5, 40hrs per week, every third weekend

Length: 13 Weeks

Requirements:
  • IL License
  • Minimum 1 year experience
  • BLS
  • Cerner experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Level II trauma experience preferred.

  • Required Assessment Skills/Experience: Adaptive Devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, Arousal and Attention, Assistive Devices, Body Mechanics, Identifying Environmental Barriers, Pain assessment, Sensory response, Skin integrity, Strength testing, Vital signs
  • Required Cardiopulmonary/Circulatory Skills/Experience: Breathing Techniques, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Myocardial Infarction (MI), Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD)
  • Required Documentation Skills/Experience: Assessment, Discharge, Evaluation, Long Term Goals, Plan of Care, Reassessments, RUG Levels, Short Term Goals, Time Management
  • Required Equipment and Device Skills/Experience: Bed alarms, Call lights, Crutches, Gait belt, Hospital bed, Hoyer lift, Lower extremity prosthetics, Rolling walker, Shoulder slings, Sit to stand lift, Sliding boards, Soft/Hard collars, Specialty Beds (air mattresses), Standard Walker, Supplemental Oxygen, Wheelchair assessment
  • Required Orthopedics Skills/Experience: Ankle sprains, Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD), Degenerative Joint Disease (DDD), Elbow injuries/tendinopathy, Extremity Mobilization, Frozen shoulder, Gait training, Hand injuries/tendinopathy, Hip fractures/injuries, Knee injuries/tendinopathy, LE Amputations, Low back pain, Lumbar Traction, Myofascial Release, Osteoarthritis, Post op cervical surgery, Post op shoulder repair, Post op spinal surgery, Prosthetic training, Sciatica, Spinal Conditions, Spinal mobilization, Taping, Total hip replacement, Total knee replacement, UE Amputations

  • Required Modality Skills/Experience: TENS, Ultrasound
  • Required Billing Skills/Experience: Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare A, Medicare B, Private Pay, Worker's Compensation. State license required. Required Age specific competencies: Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, and Older Adult
Position / Specialty: Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab Shift: 5x8 Days 0900-1730 Years of experience REQ: Minimum 1 year experience required First-timers accepted: Yes. Weekend REQ: Will work every third weekend. Certs REQ: BLS and state license required. Is on-call REQ? No. Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes- PT work throughout various units in hospital Open to accommodating block schedule? Schedule is mostly M-F block with every third weekend req'd. Locals accepted: Yes- no radius. Pending License accepted: No- must have active IL PT license to apply. Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If Client cancels more hours than permitted by this section, Client will be billed for any shifts or portions thereof cancelled in excess of this section. If Candidates are placed on-call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift.
