Description
Alameda Health Medical Group (AHMG) is recruiting a Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Sports Surgeon for full-time employment. The Alameda Health System (AHS) Department of Orthopaedic Surgery works to promote wellness, eliminate health care disparities, and care for the diverse residents in the East Bay of Northern California. Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a Board-Certified or Eligible Orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in Orthopaedic Sports Surgery and a particular interest in managing acute and chronic soft tissue and osseous pathology. All department surgeons participate in compensated call coverage for a Level 1 trauma center and 2 community hospitals. Each surgeon typically takes call one weekday per week and one weekend every 6-8 weeks.

Department support:
The Orthopaedic department employs 8 Physician Assistants who work across the system. Highland Hospital is also a clinical site for the San Francisco Orthopaedic Residency Program (SFORP) with 3 residents present per rotation. The SFORP residency is based in San Francisco with a total of 15 residents in the 5-year program.
