Job Description:
Client is looking for this resource to become the Kafka expert for this area. This resource will explain/articulate design, provide best practices in how to use Kafka, set the standards, provide insights in terms of how other are using the tool, and be able to provide how to use the tool when it comes to message cueing, API integration, and Data Streaming.
This resource will need to have a Developer mindset, will need to be a broad thinker and dive into concepts. Ideally this person will have experience in development around producing and consuming data streams in Kafka.
Required Basic Qualifications:
- Client is on the latest version of Kafka (7.4)
- Terraform is a must
- GitHub is a must
- GCP understanding would be ideal too
- Ansible, Python, and Unix nice to have
- Dev background - possibly solution architect type resource
- Kafka is currently on prem at Prime
- They are in the process of moving to the cloud
- They will have a 3-4 months of transition period between on prem and the cloud
- That transition period starts next week
- They are moving to GCP cloud (no AWS cloud)
Compensation:
Hourly W2 pay rate $
We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
