With little to no direct supervision, the Fleet Technician III is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all Mobile Storage rental fleet equipment, including containers, ground level offices, office trailers, and/or modular buildings in a highly skilled, safe and professional manner. This position requires an employee to possess a high degree of independent judgment. This position may specialize in a specific skilled trade. The Fleet Technician III must be capable of effectively performing all duties of an Equipment Associate and a Fleet Technician I & II.

What you'll do:
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standardsProficiency and expertise in some or all of the following: HVAC, electric, plumbing, or welding diagnostics and repairsProficiency and expertise in some or all of the following: remove, repair and install floors, tiles, roofs, walls, framing, doors, leaks, caulking, windows, screens, painting, filters/dampers, replacing skin, trim, tagging of equipment, removal/install of UR decals and equipment numbersHooking mobile office to power sourceChecking tire pressure and lugsComplete assignments on time and within budgetComplete assignments as documented on Work OrderComplete necessary documentation (work order, etc.)Travel to customer sites to set office trailers and assist drivers when neededAs assigned supervise, train, and organize the work duties of other Equipment Associates and Fleet Technicians I & IIEquipment Modifications:Complete in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and state and local building codesComplete in accordance with approved specificationsComplete assignments on time and within budgetOrganization and Cleanliness of Shop, Yard, Tools and Supplies :Follow Mobile Storage and United Rentals 5S guidelinesMeet cleanliness standards on each & every assignmentStore tools, supplies, and Value Added Products (VAPs) in proper and secure placeKeep yard organized and free of debrisAdvise supervisor of supply needsInbound and outbound equipment inspections and processing; follow Rental Flow proceduresFork Lift OperationsShow and exhibit fleet to customers when neededSafely install and/or uninstall VAPs according to reservation requirements

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalentTrade skill training preferred or equivalent years of experienceActive applicable state class driver's license5+ years of experience in the construction industry and repairing and maintaining equipment and toolsBasic verbal and written skillsAdvanced Construction knowledge and backgroundDemonstrated leadership, teamwork and customer service skillsDemonstrated time management skillsAbility to utilize required information technologyWorking knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers' warranty processAccurately record time and material used for proper work order completionAbility to coach and mentor less experienced operations staffLift up to 45 pounds
