Correction Technician
The primary responsibility of the Correction Technician is to process correction requests from Federal Agencies and other departments in accordance with contractual requirements. This position supports the Case Processing Operation Center (CPOC) within our Defense and Intel Operating Group.
Key Role/Responsibilities
Modify case information into IES to ensure cases schedule completely and accurately
Sort reports and route to appropriate departments
Work from reports or email requests to cancel, schedule or reconstruct incomplete or missing items on scheduled cases
Compare and evaluate cases (e-QIP, hardcopy and electronic SAC) that meet specific criteria of or show discrepancy with a previous case in PIPs
Communicate with Federal Agencies to resolve discrepancies
Reconcile cases with corrected information and prepare them for scheduling
Process cases for return to agency when required information is not available
Process correction request from Federal Agencies and other departments within the company
Process upgrades and downgrades on investigations as requested from agency
Schedule high level cases for specific agencies
Learn and comprehend Scheduling Specifications for all case types and adapt to changes in case correction guidelines
Manage multiple processes
Work well in small team setting
Other assignments/projects as needed to support department, contract or business needs.
Basic Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent
One-year experience in background investigation processes
Familiar with PIPs and OPIS computer systems
US Citizenship, due to nature of work performed and contract requirement
Must pass a government background investigation
Additional Qualifications :
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication
Must be able to work flexible schedule; ability to adjust to changing workload
Experience working in the Government services industry is preferred
Physical Requirements:
Position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Work is performed using company furnished laptop or desktop.
Work will be performed on-site at Iron Mountain, Boyers, PA. Remote work may be possible with manager approval.
