**Anesthesiologist – Beckley VA Medical Center**

The **Beckley VA Medical Center** is looking for an **Anesthesiologist** to join our team. The Beckley VAMC is small enough to connect with the patients but big enough to still have some of the newest equipment available. At the Beckley VA Medical Center, our health care teams are deeply experienced and guided by the needs of veterans, their families, and caregivers.
_**Work Schedule:**_ _Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, Subject to change depending on the needs of the service._
**Duties:**
- Direction of perioperative anesthetic care to patients
- Preoperative Assessments
- Intraoperative anesthetic administration and monitoring
- Post-anesthesia Care
- Providing anesthetic care for general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, ophthalmology,
- Diabetic foot and oral surgery in OR, PACU, ICU ward and clinic settings
- Participating in the development and implementation of program planning, objectives, policies, and standards essential to delivery of quality anesthetic care
**Benefits:**

_**Paid Time Off:**_ _50–55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)_
_**Retirement:**_ _Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA_
_**Insurance:**_ _Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)_
_**Licensure:**_ _1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory_
_**CME:**_ _Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)_
_**Malpractice:**_ _Free liability protection with tail coverage provided_
_**Contract:**_ _No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting_
_**Work Schedule:**_ _Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, Subject to change depending on the needs of the service._
