Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: The Construction Division is responsible for managing a large and diverse Construction program encompassing the six New England states. Construction contracts under management include Civil Works and Military Construction along with work for various other customers and agencies.



Duties
  • Serve as Resident Engineer and Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) in Construction Division, New England District.
  • Supervise, direct, assign work and provide technical advice to a staff of 5-12 professional, technical and administrative personnel.
  • Utilize professional judgement to interpret contract documents to resolve conflicts and minimize risk to budget and schedule milestone execution.
  • Manage contractor safety compliance to minimize occurrence of job site accidents.
  • Review and recommend construction schedules and contractor progress payments.
