Koa is a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. This position is responsible for the day-to-day baseball operations, coaching and private lessons.  Responsibilities include parent communications, game day operations, coaching all ages and levels of baseball and some administrative responsibilities. 

The job is located at Koa Sports HQ- 9200 Corporate Blvd. Ste 320, Rockville, MD 20850 with travel to local fields around the Beltway as well as traveling inside the United States for Tournaments. This position reports directly to Tony Korson.
Responsibilities & Duties:
● Master Koa's systems, including but not limited to:
○ Humanity, Team Snap, Google Docs, Upper Hand etc.
● Be able to coach a BABL and/or Travel team at anytime
●Communicate both written and verbal with Parents and Athletes
● Attend all Koa Tryouts
● Attend all BABL All Star Games
● Assist in Recruiting baseball Coaches
● Able to fill in Koa programming on an as needed basis (flag, after school, street hockey,
etc...)
● Conduct lessons/training and evaluations
● Inventory baseball equipment and wearables
● Answer general phone calls and baseball specific questions
● Comfortably and professionally email Koa parents with Koa provided email address

Qualifications & Skills:
● Played at least high school baseball (college or pro experience is preferred)
● Working knowledge of baseball technology, including Blast Motion and DK Balls
● Proficient use of a radar gun and pocket radar
● Proficient communication, verbal and electronic
● Excellent problem solver
● Can lift heavy bags of at least 40 pounds of equipment
● Can complete 20 continuous push ups in under 30 seconds
● General understanding on how to maintain a baseball field, including but not limited to,
raking, tarping, locking fields, taking pictures of a field, and mound care (tamping, fill dirt,
etc...)
