Job Summary/Basic Function
Works with Children of WSU students by assisting with caring for children between the ages of 2-5 years old; provide positive example; enforce classroom limits; stimulate children’s physical, mental, and intellectual growth by reading and playing with children. Help in cleaning and sanitizing the childcare center.

Criminal Background check is required as a condition of employment.

**This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED

Must have worked in a childcare setting for at least 6 months. Will be required to receive 10 hours of training in early childhood each year and provide documentation of completion at each staff evaluation.

Must obtain a food handlers permits, CPR and First Aid Certification, complete a background check through WSU and the State of Utah
Preferred Qualifications
Current State of Utah Background Screening Card for childcare providers

Food handlers permit, first aid, and CPR certifications

Must be able to work between 15 – 25 hours per week. Monday- Friday between the hours of 8:30 am – 1:30 pm.
