Seeking individuals interested in completing the Nurse Aide course at Broad Acres. Individuals will be employed by Broad Acres at start of course and upon completion of the course you are guaranteed a nurse aide position with either part time or full time hours (dependent on your preference and the availability of a full time position.)

The course is a combination of book work and hands on clinical work to prepare you for the state nurse aide test and guarantee part time or full time work as a nurse aide at Broad Acres.

WAGES:

*While completing course the rate of pay is $7.50/hour. (Average length of time to complete course is 4 weeks.)

*Upon graduating the course the rate of pay increases to $10.00/hour.

*Upon passing the State test the rate of pay increases to $15.05/hour. (Average length of time to take state exam is less than 2 months.)

*6 months after obtaining nurse aide rate of pay will increase to $15.55/hour.

*1 year after obtaining nurse aide rate of pay will increase to $16.05/hour.

After graduating the nurse aide course Broad Acres also offers an extra $2.00/hour shift differential for hours worked during 2nd shift (2p-10p) and $1.00/hour shift differential for hours worked during 3rd shift (10p-6a).

If you take a full time positon you will be eligible for up to $2,000 in bonuses after passing the PA state test.

Position schedule as follows:

Hired on as part time with the probability of full time work upon completion of course.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the assigned LPN or RN unit supervisor, performs resident/patient care, activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, safety and comfort of resident/patients as assigned. Assists in providing a positive physical, social and psychological environment. Follows all Broad Acres policies and procedures.

Prior experience not required.

Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with resident/patients, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff. Possess special interest in, and a positive attitude about working with long-term care residents and the elderly.

Meets all health requirements as required by law.

Job Type: Part-time with potential for full time upon completion of course.

Salary: $7.50 - $15.05 per hour
