Salary Minimum $21.43/Hour; $44,746 Annually

Job Description
This position provides a full range of retention and outreach services to support the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice and Belonging (DEIJB) department. This position helps to support historically marginalized students, and helps promote a more inclusive campus culture through trainings and other department initiatives by overseeing the college’s DEIJB Centers for both campus locations. This position helps recruit and develop relationships with prospective students and current students and participates in activities to promote the College’s strategic DEIJB plan. In addition, this position monitors key success indicators for student retention and also works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to engage in educational opportunities to the community-at-large.

Responsibilities Include:
Provide support for the DEIJB Centers by staffing and helping coordinate events that raise persistence and complete rates for underrepresented students.
Support recruitment efforts by maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders in collaboration with the admissions department.
Assist the Director in allocating state and federal grant opportunities to improve student success.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in education, higher education, student personnel, counseling, advising or other related field
Experience working with underrepresented populations in a college or university environment
Two years of experience in diversity, recruitment, advising, coaching, career planning or similar experience.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills
Competency with computers (i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as education, higher education, student personnel, counseling, advising, etc.
Diversity, Inclusion, Racial Justice, Social Justice certifications, teaching or training experience
Knowledge of student-related policies and procedures typically found in higher education
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Multilingual or multicultural background or experience working with underserved populations
