Plant Electrician/Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Plant Electrician/Mechanic to join our team at our Milton, NY Plant. Responsibilities:

  • Support all process and packaging equipment.
  • Investigate and correct equipment problems.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and replace motor starters, variable frequency drives, fuses, light bulbs, circuit breakers, push buttons, electric switches, and other electrical equipment following electrical specifications.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain all plant equipment through the application of sound PLC troubleshooting techniques and superior repair methodology.
  • Read electrical and electronic schematics basic hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and production team members to achieve production goals.
  • Handle assigned preventive maintenance work orders and project work relating to modification, troubleshooting, and installation of equipment, plus performance of general shop maintenance assignments.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines, GMP practices, and regulations.
  • Observe plant safety rules and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to contribute to continuous improvement.

Position Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program and/or a valid electrician license.
  • Valid electrician license.
  • Additional certifications in industrial electrical systems is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial electrical work with low voltage control through 480v 3-phase power or related and transferable skills.
